I've always wanted to write a song titled New York someday.
However, perhaps because it is the city to which I dedicated my youth, I felt a strong attachment to it, and the hurdle remained very high.
When I first listened to the sound of this song, I intuitively thought, "Maybe, if it's this song, I could sing it."
It was the first time that this had happened, and it may have been helped by the fact that the band was celebrating its 10th anniversary since its debut.
However, it wasn't easy to decide how to introduce the city.
I'm in Japan and the city was so dazzling.
In hindsight, I ended up creating a song that I really like.
It all worked perfectly in balance.

We have taken on many challenges up until our 10th anniversary.
When we were trying to create the sound we most wanted at the time, we arrived at the UK rock sound.
We kept the tracks simple to express the band as much as possible, but they also include some of our own unique developments that go beyond that.
It's been a while since I've played using only live drums, without any programmed drums.
